The Laird LIFT5 5'2 came out of a very specific conversation between Laird Hamilton and Nick Leason. Laird wanted one board for both flat water speed and surf, with enough surface area and volume to handle heavy water while staying narrow enough to actually move through it. At 64 liters and 23.5 inches wide, it sits right between the 4'4 and the 4'9. That ratio creates a narrower profile for the length, reducing aerodynamic drag in flight, keeping the rails pulled in for deeper carves, and concentrating mass closer to the center. The 68 mm propulsion and Gen5 Full Range Batteryprovide the power output to match. Construction is finished in hand-laid hexagonal carbon. Built on LCS and compatible with every propulsion, wing, and battery in the Lift lineup. This is a limited run for 2026.

64 liters in a narrower profile. Those 64 liters are distributed across 23.5 inches of width, which is 1.5 inches narrowerthan the closest comparable LIFT5 at similar volume. Bigger riders get the takeoff float they need without the width penalty that adds swing weight.

Shaped for surf and flat water. The pulled-in nose, narrower tail, and surf-oriented rocker line translate directly into how the board handles in open ocean and chop. It tracks clean at speed and responds immediately off the tail.

68 mm propulsion with Lift5 power output + 200 Havoc LCS Front Wing. The 200 Havoc generates lift at lower speeds, earning its place in surf where timing and pickup matter. The 26 Flow Back Wing sharpens response off the tail.

Quiet Ride Technology. Direct drive motor. No gears, no extra noise. Hear the water, not the eFoil.

Hexagonal Carbon Weave Construction. Exclusive to the Laird collection. Hand-laid at our Puerto Rico factory. Structurally stiffer than standard carbon under the torque load of the 68 mm motor and the weight of the Gen5 battery. Visually distinct from anything else in the lineup.

LCS – full ecosystem compatibility. Tool-free swaps across mast lengths, wings, and propulsion. With a battery adapter, the 5'2 can also run the LIFTX battery and 55 mm propulsion. One board, two configurations.

2026 Gen5 Full Range Battery. 2.2 kWh and approximately 90 minutes of ride time on power. Built for range and the right pairing for longer flat-water distance sessions and extended surf.

Elite Hand Controller. Carbon fiber housing with a titanium trigger. GPS ride tracking, real-time battery readout, and a sunlight-readable display. Buoyant and compatible with every Lift eFoil ever made.
