The first O'ahu to Kaua'i oversteek on a foil
A groundbreaking 100-mile foil crossing from O'ahu to Kaua'i by Lift Foils team riders Mala'e McElheny and Brady Hurley. At just 16 and 18 years old, these young watersports athletes made history as the first to hydrofoil across the Ka'ie'ie Waho Channel—pushing the limits of what’s possible in downwind foiling.
On August 23, Mala'e McElheny and Brady Hurley became the first to foil the Ka'ie'ie Waho Channel from O'ahu to Kaua'i—an open-ocean journey of 100 miles.
